Homeowners along the Rich Cove Road slide area in Maggie Valley are faced with no homeowners’ insurance coverage, and nowhere to go. Now, finger-pointing is in high gear.
Blame for Friday night’s landslide is being focused, at the present time, on Ghost Town in the Sky, but Ghost Town is in reorganizational bankruptcy, and may very soon be forced into Chapter 7 bankruptcy.
It is doubtful to me that any one person or entity is at fault. (See: “2010 could see action on landslides in Western North Carolina”)
